SB108 Summary

• Amends Section 17-4-33 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify requirements for the statewide computerized voter registration list maintained by the Secretary of State.

• Requires the Secretary of State to provide one free electronic copy of the computerized voter list to each political party meeting ballot access requirements within 30 days of election certification or vote history update completion, whichever comes first.

• Allows political parties to request up to two additional electronic copies of the voter file during each calendar year if they met ballot access requirements in the last statewide election.

• Specifies that electronic copies provided to political parties contain full, editable data as it exists in the Secretary of State's computerized voter list.

• Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
