SB111 Summary

• Amends Section 17-5-8 of the Alabama Code to require campaign finance reports disclose the occupation and employer name of contributors, in addition to existing name requirements for contributions exceeding $100.

• For political action committees, identification must include the contributor's name, occupation, employer, and city of residence for aggregate contributions greater than $100 within the calendar year.

• Applies to reports filed by principal campaign committees, political action committees, and elected state and local officials covering contributions and expenditures.

• Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
