Continues the existence and functioning of the Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board until October 1, 2011, pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law.

Eliminates holdover positions on the board and requires board members to vacate office upon expiration of their respective terms.

Board members serve terms not to exceed four years as designated by the Governor, subject to Senate confirmation.

Establishes board composition of seven members: one master plumber, one journeyman plumber, one registered professional engineer, one municipal or county building official, one master gas fitter, one journeyman gas fitter, and one public-at-large member with no connections to the plumbing or gas industry.

Requires board membership to reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state, with all members being Alabama citizens.
