SB321 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates all general and permanent laws enacted during the 2009 Regular Session and Act 2009-814 of the 2009 First Special Session into the Code of Alabama 1975, as contained in the 2009 Cumulative Supplements to Volumes 3-22A and 2009 Replacement Volume 15A.

• Initially adopts 2009 Volume 22E (Local Laws for Conecuh and Cullman Counties) and 2009 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes into the Code of Alabama 1975.

• Makes technical corrections to Section 19-3B-816 (2007 Replacement Volume 14, page 386) regarding trustee powers under the Alabama Uniform Trust Code to achieve proper hierarchy, formatting, and internal references.

• Declares the adoption constitutes continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975 and confirms West Group's certification of proper code publication without substantive changes.

• Requires authenticated volumes be transmitted to the Secretary of State for safekeeping, with certification services available upon request; becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval.
