Assesses an additional $5 fee on each original contested divorce case filed in Alabama courts.

Fee does not apply to uncontested divorce cases.

Court clerks collect the fee and deposit it in the State Treasury no later than the tenth day of the following month.

All collected fees are credited to the Children's Trust Fund and disbursed by the State Treasurer on the twentieth day of each month.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
