AL SB45

Amends Section 16-48-7, Code of Alabama 1975, to allow Auburn University's Board of Trustees, its executive committee, and any other board-established committees to participate in meetings via telephone conference, video conference, or similar communications equipment.

Requires all participants in remote meetings to be able to hear each other simultaneously, and remote participation counts as physical presence for quorum purposes.

Mandates that notice of all such meetings comply with the Alabama Open Meetings Act and that the communications equipment allow public members to simultaneously listen to or observe meetings.

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
