SB525 Summary

• Extends the corporate limits of the City of Jackson in Clarke County by annexing two strips of land adjacent to U.S. Highway 43.

• Annexes a 400-foot wide strip of land on the East side of the centerline of U.S. Highway 43, beginning at the North line of Section 21, Township 7 North, Range 2 East, and ending at the North line of Section 10, Township 7 North, Range 2 East.

• Annexes a 400-foot wide strip of land on the West side of the centerline of U.S. Highway 43, beginning at the North line of Section 21, Township 7 North, Range 2 East, and ending at the North line of Sections 9 and 10, Township 7 North, Range 2 East.

• Requires a map showing the proposed annexation territory to be filed in the office of the Judge of Probate in Clarke County and made available for public inspection.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
