Amends Section 17-13-5 of the Alabama Code to change the filing deadline for candidates in primary elections from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Extends the deadline for candidates for federal, state, circuit, district offices, state Senate, House of Representatives, and non-county offices to file declarations of candidacy with the state party chair to 6:00 P.M. 60 days before the primary election.

Extends the deadline for candidates for county offices to file declarations with the county party chair to 6:00 P.M. 60 days before the primary election.

Extends the deadline for state and county party chairs to certify primary election candidates to 6:00 P.M. 55 days before the primary election.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
