Commends the Cumberland School of Law trial team for winning the Regional Championship of the American Association of Justice National Trial Competition.

The winning team consisted of Timothy Douthit (Huntsville, Alabama), Shannon Cornman (Knoxville, Tennessee), Megan Murren (Monroe, Georgia), and Reanna Todd (Springfield, Tennessee), coached by Mike Rasmussen and Marc Jaskolka.

The AAJ competition included 224 teams divided into 14 regions with 16 teams per region; the Cumberland team defeated South Texas College of Law in the semifinals and Baylor University in the finals.

Cumberland School of Law is recognized as one of very few schools to have won Regional Championships in both the AAJ National Trial Competition and the separate National Trial Competition.

The legislature extends warm best wishes to the team for continued excellence in the study and practice of law.
