Mourns the death of Greene County Sheriff Ison Thomas, who died on April 3, 2010, at age 54.

Acknowledges Sheriff Thomas's law enforcement career including work in the Greene County Sheriff's Department, Taylor Hardin Mental Facility, and Moundville Police Department before his 2006 election as Greene County Sheriff.

Recognizes his innovations as sheriff including adding cameras and computers to patrol cars, installing courthouse and jail cameras, establishing a K-9 Unit, creating a Junior Deputy Program, and hiring additional deputies.

Notes his family membership in Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church in Forkland, Alabama since childhood and service in the 168th Engineering Division of the National Guard.

Expresses condolences to his surviving wife Dorothy J. Lewis Thomas; six children: Jacqueline Winston, Perdell Thomas, Ison DeAndre Thomas, Daedra Thomas, Kendarius Steele, and Tymeria Thomas; and six grandchildren.
