Commends Senator Bobby Denton for 32 years of distinguished legislative service to Senate District 1 (Colbert and Lauderdale Counties) and the State of Alabama since his election in 1978.

Recognizes Denton's active involvement in multiple committees including Banking and Insurance (which he chairs), Business and Labor, Education, Finance and Taxation, Governmental Affairs, Industrial Development and Recruitment, and Rules.

Acknowledges Denton's background as a University of Alabama graduate, former businessman and banker, Director of Development for Northwest Shoals Community College, and accomplished musician who recorded "A Fallen Star" in 1956 and was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame on March 25, 2010.

Notes Denton's 32 years in the Alabama Senate make him the longest-serving member in the institution's history, and honors his personal values, active Church of Christ membership, and dedicated family life.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Senator Denton with the Legislature's highest esteem and appreciation.
