Former members and officers of either house of the Alabama Legislature may request official legislative identification cards upon request.

Identification cards may be issued to former presiding officers of the Senate and former Governors.

Cards shall be used for admission to the floors of the House of Representatives and Senate in accordance with each body's rules.

Cards permit admission to the Alabama State House during normal business hours at entrances staffed by security personnel.

Resolution addresses the challenge of security personnel recognizing former legislators who retain floor privileges after their terms expire.
