Urges the Department of Education and Alabama State Board of Education to require local school districts to provide money management instruction courses for 11th and 12th grade students.

Course content shall cover money and money management, personal finance, business, the economy, and investing.

Identifies findings that many high school graduates lack basic financial skills including the ability to balance a checkbook and understand earning, spending, saving, and investing concepts.

References U.S. Department of Education recommendations for incorporating financial education through state standards, testing materials, textbook content, classroom lessons, and teacher training.

Requires a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the State Board of Education and State Superintendent of Education.
