• Proposes a constitutional amendment to require Alabama Supreme Court Associate Justices, appellate judges, circuit judges, and district judges to be elected from districts rather than at-large.

• Legislature must divide the state into Supreme Court districts for each associate justice and court of appeals districts for appellate judges, with one judge elected from each district by qualified electors.

• For circuit courts with multiple judges, the legislature must divide each judicial circuit into districts with one judge elected from each district; for district courts with multiple judges, each county must be divided into districts with one judge elected from each district.

• The chief justice of the Supreme Court shall continue to be elected statewide; incumbent judges and justices are allowed to complete their current terms of office without interruption.

• Amendment becomes effective upon voter approval by majority vote at a general election held in accordance with constitutional provisions.
