AL HB164

Prohibits persons convicted of any felony election offense under Chapter 17, Title 17 of the Alabama Code from serving as employees, officers, or volunteers at voter centers, voting places, precincts, canvassing boards, election commissions, or boards of registrars.

Extends the prohibition to any other capacity as an election officer or overseer of any election.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
