• Require owners of lounges, hotels cited as nuisances, massage parlors, airports, train stations, bus stations, and adult entertainment venues to post the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline (1-888-373-7888) on a poster of at least 8.5 by 11 inches at a conspicuous public location.

• Make the poster available on the websites of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, Alabama Public Service Commission, and Alabama Department of Industrial Relations in English, Spanish, and other languages deemed appropriate.

• Establish escalating penalties: first violation is a Class C misdemeanor, second violation is a Class B misdemeanor, and third violation is a Class A misdemeanor, each punishable by fine or imprisonment or both.

• Exempt theaters, concert halls, art centers, museums, and similar establishments devoted primarily to the arts or theatrical performances presenting matters of serious literary, artistic, scientific, or political value.

• Become effective January 1, 2012.
