Authorizes arresting officers to issue electronic uniform non-traffic citations and complaints (eUNTCC) for misdemeanor violations enumerated in Alabama Rules of Judicial Administration Rule 20, Appendix B as an alternative to traditional written summons.

eUNTCC tickets are electronically generated and printed at the violation site, with violations capable of being electronically transmitted to the court or processed in printed form through standard procedures.

Persons receiving an eUNTCC are deemed to have given written bond to appear in court on the specified date upon accepting a written copy, without requiring a signature.

Exempts arrests involving accidents causing injury or death, driving under the influence, and suspected felonies from the eUNTCC process; officers must take such persons immediately to a magistrate.

Violation of written bond by failing to appear is a misdemeanor; officers violating the section are subject to misconduct in office charges and removal from office.
