• Establishes penalties of up to $500 fine or 6 months imprisonment for violations; increases to $5,000 fine or 6 months imprisonment for violations involving 200 or more units of food or beverage products.

• Defines "unit" as a single, discrete food or beverage container.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
