Proposes a constitutional amendment to Alabama's Constitution requiring all county and city superintendents of education to be appointed by their respective boards of education rather than elected.

Amendment applies upon expiration of the current term of any superintendent serving on the date of ratification, or upon any vacancy occurring before the superintendent's term ends.

Repeals all conflicting provisions in the constitution and existing laws upon ratification of the amendment.

Election on the proposed amendment shall follow Sections 284 and 285 of the Alabama Constitution and state election laws, requiring approval by a majority of qualified electors voting on the measure.

Election officials must assign a ballot number and display the amendment description with yes/no voting options on ballots.
