• Landowners who lease property for hunting or fishing purposes are not liable for damages to any person based on use of the leased property for those purposes.

• Landowners remain liable if they have actual knowledge of a non-obvious dangerous condition at the time of lease and fail to disclose it to the lessee, and the danger causes injury, damage, or death.

• Landowners remain liable for intentionally or willfully causing injury to a person rightfully using the leased land.

• The bill does not affect liability of third parties leasing the land and does not enlarge or diminish the open and obvious doctrine.

• The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
