• Imposes an additional $10 court cost in all criminal, quasi-criminal, and traffic cases in Chilton County district, circuit, and municipal courts where the defendant is adjudged guilty, a bond is forfeited, a penalty is imposed, or an arrest warrant is issued.

• Creates a Public Safety Technology Fund in the county treasury to receive monthly distributions of collected court costs, administered by the District Attorney of Chilton County for law enforcement technology and communication purposes only.

• Distributes fund revenues annually by November 15th after retaining 20 percent administrative costs: 10 percent to the District Attorney's office and 10 percent split between the Circuit Clerk's office (5 percent) and qualifying municipalities (5 percent divided equally).

• Allocates remaining 80 percent of fund revenues proportionally to municipal and county law enforcement agencies employing at least five full-time sworn officers, based on the number of full-time officers at each agency.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
