Shelby County Commission may adopt ordinances or resolutions establishing rules and regulations for county-owned or leased public property, including parks, recreational areas, public buildings, and facilities.

Law enforcement entities and the county manager are directed to implement and enforce the rules and regulations adopted by the county commission.

Violations of adopted ordinances or resolutions constitute a Class C misdemeanor punishable as provided by law.

Persons charged with violations may be issued a non-traffic citation and complaint to appear in district court of the county.

County commission must maintain copies of all ordinances or resolutions available for public inspection at the county manager's office, and no ordinance may conflict with state law.
