• Applies only to Shelby County and imposes an additional $20 court cost in all civil and criminal cases in circuit, district, and juvenile courts, excluding small claims, traffic cases, and protection from abuse cases.

• Imposes an additional $5 court cost in all traffic cases in circuit and district courts.

• Distributes collected court costs as follows: 45% to the district attorney for law enforcement purposes, 45% to the Community Corrections Fund for operational and administrative expenses, and 10% to the Judicial Administration Fund for local court system administrative expenses.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or otherwise becoming law.
