• Proposes a constitutional amendment to Section 125 of the Alabama Constitution to increase the vote requirement for the Legislature to override a gubernatorial veto from a simple majority to two-thirds of the whole number elected to each respective house.

• The amendment applies to bills that are returned by the Governor with objections; both the originating house and the other house must each achieve a two-thirds vote to override the veto.

• The proposed amendment becomes valid upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in accordance with Sections 284, 285, and 287 of the Alabama Constitution.

• Election officials shall place the amendment on ballots with a description of the proposal and allow voters to select "Yes" or "No."

• The amendment also applies the same two-thirds override requirement to votes, orders, and resolutions requiring concurrence of both houses, except for questions of adjournment, elections, or constitutional amendments.
