• Amends Alabama Code Section 25-4-78 to allow spouses of active duty military members to receive unemployment benefits if they voluntarily quit work to relocate due to their spouse's change of station orders, activation orders, or unit deployment orders.

• Creates an exception to the "voluntarily quitting work" disqualification for unemployment benefits, effective for separations occurring on or after October 1, 2011.

• Specifies that when this exception applies, any benefits paid to the individual shall not be charged to the former employer's experience rating account.
