North River Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama grew from approximately 45 members to over 400 members, outgrowing its original meeting space.

The church purchased seven acres of property on Rice Mine Road containing two existing buildings: the former Covenant Church building (remodeled for services) and the former Girls Scouts of America headquarters (to serve as office annex).

The new property allows North River Church to hold two Sunday worship services immediately and provides space for future expansion to accommodate continued growth.

North River Church held its first service at the new Rice Mine Road location on Sunday, March 6, 2011, under the leadership of pastor Dr. Scott Reynolds.

The Alabama Legislature honored and commended North River Church on the occasion of its new church building and conveyed congratulations on behalf of the citizens of Alabama.
