Commends Edgar James Peterson for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America.

Peterson is a member of Boy Scout Troop 246 scheduled to receive his Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor ceremony on March 12, 2011, at the North Birmingham Public Library.

His Eagle Scout Project involved planning and developing a raised garden at Princeton Elementary School and encouraging fourth graders to form a garden club for planting and harvesting vegetables.

Peterson is a senior at Ramsey High School and the son of Earl and Beverly Peterson, demonstrating exemplary qualities of self-discipline, self-reliance, good citizenship, and devotion to duty.

House adopted the resolution on March 24, 2011, and the Senate adopted it on March 31, 2011.
