Commends Sherry Hicks on being named 2010-2011 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Gadsden City School System.

Recognizes Hicks as the librarian at Striplin Elementary School who teaches computer skills, reinforces classroom instruction, and inspires a love of reading.

Notes that Hicks is known as a gifted and resourceful teacher who exceeds her duties on behalf of her students.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be provided to Sherry Hicks as evidence of the esteem in which she is held.
