• Honors Reverend Johnnie J. Phillips for his many years of service to God and mankind.

• Recognizes his 50 years as pastor of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Whistler, Alabama, and his leadership roles with the Alabama Baptist State Convention, National Baptist Convention, Searcy Hospital, and numerous other community organizations.

• Acknowledges his service as Moderator of the Mobile Baptist Sunlight District Association from 2001-2009 and his personal motto "Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge."

• Directs presentation of a copy of the resolution to Reverend Phillips on March 11, 2011, at his 50th Year Pastoral Anniversary and Retirement Celebration.
