Commends the Muscle Shoals High School Percussion Ensemble for winning first place in the scholastic concert open class at the Winter Guard International in Dayton, Ohio in 2011.

Recognizes that the competition attracts color guard and percussion bands from the United States and 13 countries, with the Muscle Shoals group formed two years prior under director David Waters.

Names 25 student members of the ensemble including Jordan Brisendine, Rachel Wammack, Maria Oswalt, Evan Lane, Emily Ownby, Josh Foust, and 19 others.

Acknowledges that ensemble members and parents who traveled with the group each received a gold medal for bringing home the Winter Guard International World Percussion Championship.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to the school for display and conveys best wishes for continued success in future endeavors.
