Commends Opelika Light and Power for its exceptional service following the devastating tornado outbreak on April 27, 2011 in Alabama.

Recognizes that thousands of Alabamians had their power service restored ahead of schedule due to rapid response from utility companies within and outside the state.

Acknowledges Opelika Light and Power's generous contribution of skilled and dedicated workers who labored to repair damage and enable recovery efforts for tornado survivors.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be sent to the company to convey the legislature's admiration and appreciation for their timely assistance.

Adopted by the House on May 26, 2011 and the Senate on May 31, 2011.
