Commends Florence Bellamy for her outstanding achievements in education and service as president of the Alabama Association of School Boards (AASB), elected in December 2009.

Mrs. Bellamy served as AASB vice president from 2005-2007 and on multiple committees and task forces, and previously served the Phenix City Board of Education as President (May 2000-May 2004) and Vice President (May 1997-May 2000).

Recognized with the Phenix City Education Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 for her widespread respect and commitment to education.

Mrs. Bellamy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Troy University with a bachelor of science degree and began her career in social services.

House adopted resolution on June 2, 2011 and Senate adopted on June 2, 2011.
