Commends Waldon Tucker upon his induction into the 2011 Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 21st class.

Tucker is a native of Linden, Alabama and graduate of the University of West Alabama who played on the 1971 Livingston University NAIA National Championship team.

As football coach at Fayette County High School since 1984, Tucker became Alabama's all-time winningest prep football coach with an overall record of 309-126-3, including 284 wins in the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

Tucker was named Class 2A Coach of the Year in 1980 (after a 13-0 state championship at Gordo), 5A Coach of the Year in 1989, and 4A Coach of the Year in 1996, and guided the 1996 Fayette County team to a 15-0 season and Class 4A title.

Tucker also served as a Fayette City Councilman for eight years, demonstrating extraordinary leadership ability and significant achievement in both athletics and public service.
