Notes that under his tenure, the substance abuse prevention and treatment budget increased 45 percent from $33 million to $48 million, with state funding growing 300 percent from $4.2 million to $17.7 million, serving approximately 125,000 Alabamians annually.

Highlights his leadership roles including chairing the Alabama Commission for the Prevention and Treatment of Substance Abuse, serving as Region IV representative to the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, and hosting the 2008 national annual meeting in Alabama.
