Recognizes Gulf Shores Police Officer Christopher Bagby as the recipient of the 2011 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, Alabama's highest law enforcement award.

On August 13, 2010, Officer Bagby responded to an emergency call and rescued a severely burned male victim from an upside-down, burning automobile using his uniform shirt to smother flames, then carried the victim to safety seconds before the gas tank exploded.

Officer Bagby has served with the Gulf Shores Police Department since 2006 and is a United States Marine Corps veteran who received the National Defense Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.

Directs that Officer Bagby receive a copy of the resolution as a token of the legislature's admiration and esteem for his extraordinary courage and professionalism.
