• The House of Representatives honors and commends Elois Primm Ramsey for her outstanding accomplishments and dedicated service to her community.

• Ramsey earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Knoxville College and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

• She taught Elementary Education in the Wilcox County School System and Elementary Language Arts in the Shelby County School System before retirement, then tutored adult education students preparing for the G.E.D.

• Ramsey served in leadership roles including secretary for the Board of Lutheran Ministries of Alabama, secretary of the Board of Directors of the Shepherd Center East, and secretary since inception of the East Lake Community Corporation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
