Alabama House of Representatives mourns the death of Mr. Robert Lee George, Sr., of Gadsden, Alabama, who died on May 3, 2011, at age 72.

Mr. George was born on October 14, 1938, received his barbering degree in 1957, and operated his own barbering business; he was married to Hazel George and had eight children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four of his children: Robert Lee, Jr., Johnnie, James, and Ray Neil George.

Mr. George is survived by five children, 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, his former wife, extended family, and numerous friends.

The House of Representatives extends deepest sympathies to Mr. George's family through this resolution.
