Commends Patrick Morris, a Delta Kappa Epsilon officer and business major at the University of Alabama, for organizing relief efforts following the April 27, 2011 tornadoes in Alabama.

DKE members prepared and delivered over 1,500 meals to tornado survivors and rescue workers on the night of April 28, 2011.

The UA Greek Relief Fund was established through social media and organized into a communication center, donation supply drop-off, food pantry, and delivery service throughout Tuscaloosa County by April 29, 2011.

The UA Greek Relief Fund delivered over 8,000 meals in one day and more than 52,000 hot meals within two weeks following the disaster, providing approximately one-third of total relief meals in the Tuscaloosa area.

The House of Representatives extends sincere gratitude to Patrick Morris and the UA Greek Relief Fund for their community service and for inspiring volunteerism and charitable service in the community.
