Commends the Honorable William E. "Bill" Kimbrough, District Judge of Clarke County, for his distinguished service to the State of Alabama upon his retirement.

Judge Kimbrough was appointed to the District Judge position on May 10, 1995, and served for more than 15 years with exceptional competence and diligence.

Prior to his judicial appointment, Judge Kimbrough practiced private law and served as Assistant District Attorney and Municipal Court Judge; he is a graduate of Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama.

Judge Kimbrough has been actively involved with the Clarke County Children's Policy Council, Children's Advocacy Center, Thomasville Baptist Church, American Legion, MENSA, Sons of the American Revolution, Jamestowne Society, and the Masons.

The House of Representatives extends highest commendation to Judge Kimbrough in recognition and appreciation of his 15 years of distinguished service, with a copy of this resolution provided as evidence of the esteem in which he is held.
