John Marion Goodson of Cookeville, Tennessee died on May 22, 2011, at age 85; his wife Hazel Crow Goodson died one week later on May 29, 2011, at age 84.

John Marion Goodson was born August 26, 1925, in Prattville, Alabama, served 20 years in the United States Air Force, was a Korean War veteran, and owned and operated Goodson Electric Company in Montgomery.

Hazel Crow Goodson was born on Independence Day 1926 in Ancona, Illinois, graduated as valedictorian from Long Point High School in 1944, served six years in the United States Air Force, and was a Korean War veteran.

The couple met while serving in the Air Force and married on October 2, 1954, at Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia; they were survived by three daughters, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
