SB102 Summary

• State Purchasing Division of the Department of Finance shall establish and maintain a statewide database of all requests for bids or proposals for public contracts by the State of Alabama, political subdivisions, state agencies, boards, commissions, departments, State Board of Education, public colleges, trade schools, and public universities.

• Database shall be posted on the Internet and designated as a public record accessible to any citizen either in person or via the Internet at no charge.

• Each request for a bid or proposal shall remain available on the website until the last posting date required by law has expired.

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
