Allows disabled veterans eligible for the disabled veteran distinctive license tag to opt instead for any other veteran distinctive license tag they are eligible for, both at a $5 fee.

The $5 fee replaces the regular license fee and additional distinctive tag fees, and is used to defray administrative costs of issuing the plates and designing the required decal.

Veterans receiving a license tag under this section pay the $5 fee unless a lower fee is authorized by other law, in which case they pay the lower amount.

Requires the Department of Revenue to design a decal with the words "disabled veteran" to be affixed to any veteran distinctive license tag selected by a disabled veteran other than the disabled veteran distinctive tag.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
