Amends Section 6-5-410 of the Alabama Code to modify venue requirements for wrongful death actions filed by personal representatives of the deceased.

Restricts wrongful death actions to counties where the deceased could have commenced the original action for wrongful act, omission, or negligence under Sections 6-3-7 or 6-3-2 if death had not occurred.

Maintains existing requirements that actions must be commenced within two years of death and that recovered damages are not subject to the deceased's debts but distributed according to statute.

Clarifies that the venue restriction does not override Rule 82 of the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure.

Applies only to actions filed after the effective date; becomes effective immediately upon passage and Governor approval.
