SB405 Summary

• Authorizes the sale of draft or keg beer and malt beverages by properly licensed retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in the City of Athens in Limestone County.

• All existing resolutions and ordinances regulating the sale, consumption, and possession of bottled or canned beer in Athens apply to draft or keg beer and malt beverages.

• The Athens City Council may adopt an ordinance to regulate the sale of draft or keg beer or malt beverages under this act.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
