• Establishes grounds for removal of Board of Dental Examiners members including willful neglect of duty, corruption, incompetency, intemperance, felony conviction, terrorist acts, moral turpitude, and dereliction of sworn duties.

• Requires criminal background checks for all potential dentist nominees through the Alabama Bureau of Investigation; nominees with felony or serious crime convictions are ineligible for election.

• Limits campaign contributions to $250 per dental licensee for dentist nominees and $100 per licensee for dental hygienist candidates, with all contributions disclosed and posted on the board's website.
