Applies only to the City of York in Sumter County and authorizes a referendum on Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages by licensed retailers.

City governing body may call an election within 30 days of the act's effective date, with notice published at least three weeks before the election date.

Ballot question asks voters whether to allow legal sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages on Sundays between 12:00 P.M. (noon) and 9:30 P.M., and after 12:00 P.M. (noon) on Sundays when New Year's Eve (December 31) occurs.

If a majority votes "Yes," licensed vendors may legally sell alcoholic beverages during the specified hours; if they vote "No," sales remain prohibited after 2:00 A.M. on Sundays except as otherwise authorized by law.

The municipality may enact ordinances to regulate Sunday alcoholic beverage sales, and the act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
