Congratulates the Coalbed Methane Association of Alabama on its 25th anniversary, which occurred on June 5, 1986 through 2011.

Recognizes Alabama as a worldwide site where technology and innovation created the coalbed methane energy industry, with pioneers forming an operators group more than 25 years prior.

Notes that association members have invested more than $3 billion and employed thousands to develop the natural gas resource in coal over the past 25 years.

Acknowledges that members have supported local communities through education grants, scholarships, and sponsorships.

Directs that copies of the resolution be prepared for appropriate presentation to the association.
