• Commends the Southern Union Community College Bison Baseball Team as the 2011 ACCC State Champions for defeating Faulkner State 8-1 in the championship game.

• Team advanced through playoffs by defeating Chattahoochee Valley 7-3 in round one, Alabama Southern 7-4 in round two, and Central Alabama 11-10 in round three.

• Championship victory earned the team a berth in the NJCAA Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado, beginning May 28, 2011.
