Designates the portion of I-65 North beginning at mile marker 234 and continuing north to the Shelby/Jefferson County line as the Philip M. Davis Highway.

Honors Philip Mahan Davis, a Pelham Police Department officer killed in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop on I-65 North, the first officer to die in the department's 45-year history.

Officer Davis was born January 7, 1976, graduated from the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center in 1998, earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Alabama in 2000, and a master's degree from Faulkner State College in 2005.

Officer Davis posthumously received the Officer of the Year Award on September 29, 2010, and is survived by his wife Paula and two children, Sarah and John.

Directs appropriate officials to place and maintain signs or markers identifying the highway in honor of Officer Davis.
