Greensboro High School Basketball Team won the Class 3A state championship by defeating Clarke County 54-45 on March 5, 2011.

Team posted a 28-6 record and won the first state title in school history, marking their first tournament appearance since 1956.

Sophomore Jimmie Taylor led the championship game with 15 points and 13 rebounds, earning Most Valuable Player award, with key contributions from teammates Don King, Charvis Teacher, and Miguel Shelton.

Head Coach Earlando Courtney led the team's turnaround from only 6 wins in the 2010 losing season to the state championship.

Alabama Legislature commends the team and directs a copy of the resolution be provided to the team with congratulations.
